Description:
Jim Palmer (SC/GA, b. 1951), Beach Landscape, Oil on Canvas, signed and dated '03 lower right, depicting a white sandy beach with trees and grass. In a giltwood frame. Frame size: 33 in. x 47 in.Jim Palmer is best known for his beautiful landscape paintings documenting the southern United States coast, most specifically Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and Saint Simons Island, Georgia. Born 1941 he began his career as a full time professional artist after leaving The Atlanta School of Art and moving to Hilton Head Island in 1965. In 1996 he moved to Saint Simons Island where he currently lives and works.
