Jefferson Davis Etching and Confederate Note with Two Civil War Etchings, including a hand-colored engraved portrait of Jefferson Davis (1808-1889, President of the Confederacy) , with Antiquities Certificate of Authenticity, framed together with a $50 Confederate note, Feb. 17 1864, matted and in a wood frame, together with two framed etchings depicting the Members of the Confederate Cabinet, by D. Appleton Co., and the Rebel Officers by H. Wright Smith, both matted and in wood frames. Frame size of largest: 15 3/4 in. x 12 1/2 in.Measurements: Height: by sight of Cabinet etching, 8 1/2 in. x Width: 5 1/4 in.
Condition:
Overall good condition, toning to all, none viewed out of frames, group etchings foxed, Confederate Cabinet with damp-staining, light wear to frames.Notice to bidders: The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the conditions of aging.
