Description:

Jan Parker (English, b. 1941), Freedom, Oil on Canvas, 1992, signed lower right, a colorful abstract depicting various figures, one playing a flute, flowers, houses and a bird flying from a cage, titled and dated on verso, with linen mat and wood frame, with Pink House Gallery Label. Frame size: 35 in. x 41 in.

Jan Parker is known for his vibrant, impressionistic paintings. He began making art as a child growing up in the UK. He went on to study at the Willesden School of Art in London. Parker later moved to the United States, initially living in New York before settling in Hawaii. His work is held in museums and institutions in Asia, America and Europe and is collected by many (including filmmaker Stanley Kubrick). He has exhibited his work in Tokyo, Korea and China.

Measurements: Height: by sight, 23 1/2 in. x Width: 29 1/2 in.

Condition:

Overall good condition, some discoloration of linen, light wear to frame.
