Jan Jansson, Hand Colored Map Poli Artici, Amsterdam c. 1660, hand colored map of the arctic with figures and cartouche 'Amstelodami, apud ioannem ianbonium' lower right and central decorative cartouche near top edge 'Nova Accurata Poli Arctici et terrarum circum iacentium descriptio', with certificate of authenticity from 'Antiquities Ltd. GA/SC/NC' on verso, matted and framed. Frame size: 27 3/4 in. x 31 1/2 in.

Measurements: Height: by sight 16 1/2 in. x Width: 20 3/4 in.

Condition:

Overall fair condition, paper toned and discolored, multiple repaired tears center of top edge, central vertical crease with associated tears, other small creases and tears throughout, repaired hole center of map, paper wavy, not viewed out of frame.
