Ivan Bailey (Georgia, 1945-2013) Wrought Iron Low Table, with rectangular glass inset top, signed 'I B ATL 85' on one of the corner supports, the base decorated with foliage and a bird, on incurved supports.

Ivan Bailey's metal work can be seen all across Georgia, and is best recognized for the Savannah Forsyth Fountain and the 'Phoenix Rising' sculpture in John Howell Park in Atlanta. Bailey earned a masters degree in fine arts from the University of Georgia and developed his blacksmithing skills as a student in Germany. A skilled blacksmith, Bailey received many honors during his career, including the Governor's Award from the Georgia Council for the Arts and the Award for Craftsmanship from the Georgia Association of the American Institute of Architects.
