Description:
Hill & Adamson (Scotland, fl. 1840-1850) Newhaven Fishermen, Calotype, c. 1845, calotype by David Octavius Hill (Scottish, 1802–1870) and Robert Adamson (Scottish, 1821–1848), depicting fisherman posing in front of a boat, with pen inscription 'Photo by D. O. Hill' on verso, mounted. Overall size: 7 1/8 in. x 9 in.Measurements: Height: of photo 6 in. x Width: 7 7/8 in.
Condition:
Overall fair condition, toning, fading, wear and creases to edges, some foxing, small stain in center of image next to standing figure, photo fully mounted.
