Description:
Harold Gaze (1885-1962), Nymph with Fairies in Lily Pond, Watercolor and Pen and Ink, signed and dated '1939' lower left , depicting a Nymph with fairies on a boat of bubbles with feather sail, matted and framed. Frame size: 20 1/2 in. x 16 3/4 in.Harold Gaze was born in Christchurch, New Zealand and came to Southern California in the 1920's after studying art in England. Gaze was known for his fanciful paintings and illustrated a number of children's books. During his time in Southern California he worked for Disney Studios for a number of years. (Askart.com)
