German Ceramic Box and Plaque, a pale blue ceramic box with periwinkle and gilt trim, decorated with reliefs of cherubs playing musical instruments and theater masks, the fitted lid with a sculpted cherub, the bottom stamped 'Germany' with maker's mark and numbered '3 17,' and a white ceramic medallion plaque, with the image of winged angel carrying two sleeping children, accompanied by a bird, with a faded maker's mark and number '0' on verso, with string tie.

Measurements: Height: of box, 6 in. x Width: 5 3/4 in. x Depth: 3 1/2 in.


Overall good condition, some marks and scratches, chipping to cherub on lid, slight dark smudges on plaque.
