England, Wednesday Dec. 7, 1927. Property of late E. J. Veitch, Esq. of Dudley England. $250.00", in a giltwood frame. Frame size: 16 in. x 24 3/4 in. By sight: H. 9 3/4 in. x W. 18 3/8 in.George Morland was a British painter and practitioner of the animalier style. Morland's artistic career was characterized by his prolific creation of landscape and animal paintings of English rural life, executed with attention to detail in a naturalist style representative of English painting at the time.
