Description:
George III Painted and Embroidered Panel for Pole Screen, c. 1790, vignette depicting a woman within a shield-form floral decorated border, plaque on frame reading 'Panel for Pole-Screen, Painted and partly embroidered in colored silks on satin, English, About 1790,' with Telfair Museums label on verso, in a wood frame. Frame size: 18 3/8 in. x 15 1/2 in.Measurements: Height: 16 3/8 in. x Width: 13 1/2 in.
Condition:
Overall fair condition, faded, foxed, satin toned and stained, with small holes upper left corner, some small tears and separation to fabric, creased along bottom, not viewed out of frame, light wear to frame.Notice to bidders: The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the conditions of aging.
