George II Black Japanned Bureau Bookcase, Partially 18th Century, partially 18th Century, in two parts, the later pediment above a pair of mirrored doors opening to shelves, the bureau with flap opening to fitted interior over four long graduated drawers on bracket feet.

Measurements: Height: 90 in. x Width: 40 1/2 in. x Depth: 19 in.

Condition:

Fair condition, with replacements and restorations, painted and gilt decoration with restorations and craquelure throughout, later triangular pediment and mirror panels, age cracks to flap, bowing to center of flap, old marks and scratches, chips to edges of drawers, feet later, age cracks to sides of lower section; oak drawer fronts and pine sides (possibly later), age cracks to drawer bottoms, lacking left hand side bail on bottom drawer.
