After studying in Geneva and Paris, Gabriel Spat spent most of his career living and painting in France. An Impressionist, Spat worked in oils and watercolor, and painted leisure scenes, landscapes and still life's. He mainly worked on a small scale, painting on cut down canvases and paper scraps. His work is found in many private collections.
