Description:
French Gothic Stone Lion, 15th Century, a reclining stone lion with shaped base. Provenance: according to the consignor this was purchased at the St. Sulpice antique fair in France c. 2018.Measurements: Height: overall 7 in. x Width: 11 in. x Depth: 6 1/2 in.
Condition:
Overall good weathered condition, surface worn and weathered consistent with age, some remnants of white paint visible, loss to edge of base and tail in front by lions back leg, other small losses to edges of base, some cracking to stone on base.Notice to bidders: The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the conditions of aging.
