Property from a Savannah Estatein a shadowbox frame, with label that reads: 'Rev. Grandmother, Mary (Sharp) Low gave twenty of her silk dresses to the cause of the Revolution - This is the waist of one of them- She was the mother of Eliza Green Low Robarts and the wife of Maj. Philip Low Rev. War'. Mary Sharpe Jones Low was the widow of John Jones (1749-1779) who died in the Siege of Savannah. Jones Street was named for him. Size of shadowbox: H. 19 1/2 in. x W. 32 1/4 in. x D. 4 3/4 in.
