Description:

One Framed Sampler and Three Unframed Samplers, one 18th/19th Century by a Boy, comprising a framed sampler by Virtue Dodman at age 13 dated 1791, with floral decoration, by sight: 12 in. x 12 in. (faded, fabric slightly discolored, small holes throughout, not viewed out of frame), an unframed sampler by Susan Wagner, dated 1826, with basket and floral decoration, 16 in. x 14 1/4 in. (faded, fabric discolored, small holes, wear to edges), an unframed sampler by Edward James Burdle decorated with a house and fence, 17 1/4 in. x 8 in. (faded, discolored, stains, wear to edges), and a unframed sampler by Margaret Cole at age 12, dated 1841, with red boarder, 15 5/8 in. x 11 5/8 in. (fabric discolored, faded, wear to edges, hole next to name, mounting holes to edges)
