Description:
Forbidden Fruit Print and Corresponding Painting, comprising a print after Augustus Toulmouche and engraved by Goupil & Co., titled 'Forbidden Fruit' depicting 4 young women in a library, with information regarding the scene in the print and biographical information on the artist attached to verso (plate size: 9 1/4 in. x 6 3/4 in.), together with an unsigned painting of the same scene (by sight: 9 1/2 in. x 7 1/4 in.), both framed.Measurements: Height: of frame of print 17 1/2 in. x Width: 14 1/2 in.
Condition:
Overall good condition, painting frame lacking glass, small loss to center of top edge of board and some surface dust on painting, faint toning to paper of print, both not viewed out of frames.
