Description:
Federal Brass-Mounted Mahogany Liquor Chest, Early 19th C, with assembled group of 6 large and two small gilt-decorated glass decanters, a gilt-decorated sherry glass, and a small pewter cup (stamped 'Alterajackson, made in England'). Size of largest decanters: 9 1/2 in. x 4 in. x 2 1/2 in.Measurements: Height: of box 10 in. x Width: 14 3/4 in. x Depth: 10 1/4 in.
Condition:
Overall good condition, minor old marks and scratches to wood, lock does not work, wear and staining to interior, wear to gilt decoration on glass and decanters, some chips to glass on bases of decanters and on stoppers and spout, some stoppers on decanters possibly replaced.
