Description:
Everett Mayo (NC, b. 1947), Lap Steel, 2005, Watercolor, signed and dated '2005' lower right, depicting a seated farmer with lap steel surrounded by cow, sleeping dog, rabbit, mice, and cat, matted and framed. Frame size: 37 5/8 in. x 29 5/8 in.Everett Mayo has been an exhibiting painter and printmaker since 1966 and teacher of art, design and art history in various capacities since 1968. He has worked as a Gallerist in both public and private sectors and was a founding partner in Andrejev Galleries. Mayo's work is found in many permanent collections including those of Coca Cola, IBM, and the Munson-Williams-Proctor Museum of Art amongst other public and private collections.
