Description:
English School, Portrait of a Young Girl, 19th Century, unsigned, depicting a young girl in a shawl with country landscape in the background, in a giltwood frame. Frame size: 21 in. x 18 in.Measurements: Height: by sight 18 in. x Width: 14 3/4 in.
Condition:
Fair condition, craquelure throughout, yellowing to varnish, in need of cleaning, horizontal and vertical stretcher creases, rubbing to edges where frame touches, scratches in left background above stone wall, across girls torso in striped apron, in flower, and small scratches throughout sky, some small areas of inpainting throughout.
