English Mahogany Tea Caddy and a Mahogany Box, 19th C, comprising a mahogany tea caddy with single lidded compartment, and a mahogany box with inlaid monogrammed 'C. H. F.' on lid and pencil inscription 'Miss. Claudia Legare, Mama' on interior and label underside 'Claudia Hearne Freere' (4 1/2 in. x 8 in. x 4 1/2 in.).Measurements: Height: of tea caddy 5 in. x Width: 8 1/4 in. x Depth: 5 5/8 in.
Condition:
Overall good condition, old marks and scratches, wear to edges, tea caddy with repair to one corner of lid, associated rests for compartment lid, lacking top portion of locking mechanism, the box with some losses to veneer on edges and corners, hinges slightly loose, both boxes lacking keys.
