Description:
Currier and Ives, Low Water in the Mississippi, 1868, Lithograph, titled lower center, marked across bottom 'F.E. Palmer, Entered according to Act of Congress, AD 1868, by Currier & Ives, in the Clerk's Office, of the District Court of the United States for the Southern District of NY, Lith. Of Currier & Ives, NY,' depicting a bank of the Mississippi River, with steamboats on the river, a small cabin with figures dancing lower left side and a larger house in the background, matted and in a wood frame. Frame size: 30 in. x 40 in.Measurements: Height: by sight, 20 in. x Width: 29 in.
Condition:
Overall good condition, paper slightly wavy along top, toning, not viewed out of frame, faded, creasing middle left side, horizontal crease and small losses to surface of paper upper right quadrant, not viewed out of frame.Notice to bidders: The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the conditions of aging.
