Description:
Currier and Ives 'Bombardment of Fort Pulaski Cockspur Island', the print captioned 'Published by Currier & Ives' and '152 Nassau St. New York' with copyright date 1862 below image, with caption 'bombardment of Fort Pulaski Cockspur Island, Geo. 10th & 11th of April 1862', together with a map of 'Fort Pulaski and Environs' (4 7/8 in. x 7 1/4 in.) and map of 'Vicinity of Savannah' (7 1/8 in. x 4 3/8 in.), with 'Dolphin and the Mermaid, Thunderbolt, GA' gallery label on verso, all matted and framed together. Frame size: 26 in. x 21 1/2 in.Measurements: Height: by sight of print 9 in. x Width: 12 in.
Condition:
Overall good conidian, print with toning and discoloration to paper, very minor foxing, faint crease across lower right corner of print.
