Conlucy Niviaxie (1940–2012) was an Inuit sculptor from Inukjuak (Port Harrison), Nunavik, Quebec. Raised in seasonal Inuit hunting camps, Conlucy had an excellent understanding of arctic wildlife and traditional Inuit ways of life. He translated this knowledge into his carvings which deal with themes of hunting, animals, and camp life. His carvings have been featured in exhibitions in Canada and abroad, such as Port Harrison/Inoucdjouac at the Winnipeg Art Gallery from 1976-1977 and Keeping our Stories Alive: An Exhibition of the Art and Crafts from Dene and Inuit Canada at the Institute of American Indian Arts Museum, Santa Fe, in 1995. His work can also be found in private and public collections at the Canadian Museum of History, Gatineau, the Toronto Dominion Bank Collection, the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies, Banff, and the Winnipeg Art Gallery, among others.
