Group of Confederate and Later Notes and Bonds, 12 Items, comprising an 1865 Confederate States one dollar note with portrait of C. C. Clay (1816-1882) and an autograph letter signed by Clay; two Tennessee rail road company bonds from 1867 and 1870 (both trimmed and with losses); 1863 and 1864 Confederate states loan bonds (one mounted); two Planters Bank of the States of Georgia five dollar notes signed by Hugh Weedon Mercer (1808-1877); 1853 Mobile Robert W. Smith money order; Mary Curtis Lee (Robert E. Lee's granddaughter) signed 1921 check; Anne Carter Lee (Robert E. Lee's granddaughter) signed 1919 check; and a post Civil War Columbia 10 cent bank note (poor condition).Measurements: Height: of largest 6 3/8 in. x Width: 9 1/2 in.
