Claude Conover (Ohio, 1907 - 1994) TUCUB, Ceramic Stool, of circular form, signed 'Claude Conover' and titled 'TUCUB' on base, overall textured surface.

Claude Conover is known for his unique ceramic vessels and designs. Conover worked for 30 years as a commercial designer before he turned to his passion of ceramic art in the 1960s. Throughout his career in ceramics he exhibited in 14 art shows and his work was shown in over 50 exhibitions at museums and arts centers around the country, and internationally. Conover is considered a member of the Cleveland School.
