Description:

Christian Cesari (French, b. 1956), Le Vase Bleu a la Fenetre, Oil on Canvas, 2024, signed, titled and dated 'Mars 2024' with sketch on verso, unframed.

Born in Corsica and educated in the South of France, Christian started his career as a teacher specializing in French and English. Traveling throughout Europe, he visited most of the great art museums and developed a love of art and history. He was a professor at the world-renowned Institut de Français for 14 years teaching total immersion French to a wide array of professionals and leaders from over 50 countries. He began to paint and received a Bachelor of Fine Art degree from the Atlanta College of Art and the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2002. Mostly known for his large landscapes and still life contemporary paintings, his work has been shown in various groups and solo shows in Europe and in the United States. In 2008, he opened an atelier and gallery in the old town of Nice, France where his work has been exhibited and sold at Galerie A Côté. Traveling back and forth to the US for many years, he made the move in 2013 to live in the USA fulltime and made Woodbury, Connecticut his permanent home. Over the years, his work has graced many private and museum collections throughout the world. He recently became a member of the Washington Artists Association.

Good condition, minor wear to edges of canvas.
