Miss Anna Mae Stoever, born 1874, was the daughter of wealthy entrepreneur Charles M. At 34, she made her first trip around the world where she met Mr. Henry Frederick Wichman in Honolulu, HI, whom she later married in September of 1910 in Brooklyn, NY. After the passing of her husband in 1921, Mrs. Stoever-Wichman began a second world cruise aboard the RMS Mauretania in 1924. It was on this second cruise, where she visited China and Japan, that she acquired this item.
