Chinese Carved Soapstone Lamp, now mounted as a lamp, the upper section with a seated figure of buddha flanked by praying supplicants within clouds and standing on lotus flowers, the lower section carved with a mythical sea monster spouting water above fish in the sea, on a giltmetal base.

Measurements: Height: overall 17 in. x Width: 10 3/8 in. x Depth: 5 3/4 in.

Condition:

Fair condition, rubbing to painted decoration on heads, chips and losses to carved elements, lamp support now held with a wire and nail drilled to the top of the upper sculpture, lower section of different color, in need of gentle cleaning.
