Grain Painted Blanket Chest, Valley of Virginia, c. 1800, with MESDA Label, painted poplar with hinged lid opening to a well and till, raised on ogee bracket feet, with MESDA label searchable in their object database, the record noting attribution by Luke Beckerdite to the Valley of Virginia Diagonal Foot Brace Group.

Measurements: Height: 23 1/2 in. x Width: 44 in. x Depth: 19 1/8 in.

Condition

Good condition, old marks, scratches and stains, wear to edges, hinges replaced, missing lock.
