Description:
Bausch & Lomb Optical Company Metallurgical Microscope and Box of Related Objects, the microscope marked on lens 'Bausch & Lomb Optical Co. Rochester, NY USA'. Together with a wood storage box (4 1/2 in. x 9 1/4 in. x 4 1/2 in.) with 4 objectives (3 cased and 1 uncased), 3 eyepieces, two glass bottles, Wratten Filter in box, and blue lens filter. The eyepieces go into one of the tubes, while the other tube accepts an independent light source. A prism system inside allows incoming light from a light source to light up an object from underneath, while the user can view what is lit via the eyepiece.Measurements: Height: overall of microscope 13 1/2 in. x Width: 9 1/2 in. x Depth: 5 in.
Condition:
Overall good vintage condition, pitting to metal, wear and scratches to box, box missing one clasp lock.
