Description:
Antique Chinese Scroll, Ink on Paper, 19th Century, Unmounted , inscribed and stamped upper right, depicting a landscape, hand scroll, unmounted. Size of painting: 42 in. x 15 1/8 in.Provenance: Purchased by a collector working for the United States government in occupied Japan in the 1950's.
Measurements: Height: overall 41 5/8 in. x Width: 17 1/4 in.
Condition:
Overall good condition, faint toning and creases throughout, vertical stain in water near lower left quadrant, minor wear to edges, old mounting tape on verso of top and bottom edges.Notice to bidders: The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the conditions of aging.
