Description:

Ann Osteen (MD/GA, 1934-2019), Spaniel, Oil on Canvas, signed and dated lower right, depicting a Spaniel, in a silvered wood frame. Frame size: 48 in. x 50 in.

Ann Werner Osteen was a painter, designer and jewelry maker. Osteen studied at Richmond Polytech and the Maryland Art Institute in Baltimore. In addition to painting and working towards the preservation of historic Savannah, Osteen designed jewelry, wallpaper and textiles, furniture, and even developed a line of paint colors. Her work was exhibited at the High Museum, Louisiana State Museum and the Savannah College of Art and Design among others.

Measurements: Height: by sight 44 in. x Width: 46 in.

Good condition, surface dust.
