Description:

After George Catlin, North American Indians, 5 Framed Lithos, Abbeville Press, 1989, Five framed facsimile lithographs from Catlin's North American Indian Portfolio, New York: Abbeville Press, 1989, elephant folio, accompanied by the original publisher's half burgundy Morocco clamshell portfolio with title and justification, edition 295/950, signed by the Director of Publishing at the Library of Congress, Dana J. Pratt and the President of the Abbeville Press, Robert E. Abrams, with blind stamps; comprising Joc-o-Sot, North American Indians, Archery of the Mandans, Wi-Jun-Jon, Buffalo Hunt (with l, Chase and a portfolio with frontispiece. Each print French matted and framed. Frame size: 29 in. x 23 in. Provenance: Property of a Southern Museum sold to benefit the Acquisition Fund.

Measurements: Height: by sight 20 in. x Width: 14 in.

Condition:

Lacking 26 prints from the portfolio, not examined out of frames, good condition, not apparently laid down, portfolio with stains, some scuffing; frames with abrasions.
