7 Woodblock Prints Including Utagawa (Kunisada) Toyokuni III (Japanese, 1786-1864), comprising print of a sumo wrestler in red patterned robe, marked in upper left and lower right corners, labeled with title and artist 'Toyokuni III' on mat and 'publisher Fujikei, Suma Westler-Chogoro' and inscribed in pencil 'c. 1849-1853 (via seals), Hama Yahei, Magomi Kanqeyu', sheet size: 13 7/8 in. x 9 3/4 in. (trimmed, toning, laid down, mounted along top edge, wear to edges, repaired tears and creases bottom right corner); print of a figure robed in black in a bathhouse, with inscription on mat along right side, labeled on mat 'Toyokuni III, P. Omiya in 1856,' sheet size: 13 7/8 in. x 10 in. (trimmed, toning, crease near left edge, scattered minor repairs, small repaired tears along edge); Toyokuni III, print of a kabuki actor with gray robe and hat, marked along left edge, inscription on mat 'Kabuki after performing at Komuso holding shakahecti (musical instrument), circa 1847-1848 (censor seals)' and inscribed under sheet 'Toyokuni III' and 'publisher, Tozakia', sheet size: 14 in. x 9 3/4 in. (trimmed, toning, laid down, mounted along top edge, minor creases, small repairs, mostly along edges, repaired loss bottom left edge, surface rubbing to paper, wear and small tears to edges); Toyokuni III, print of crouching woman in patterned robe, with artist name label on mat under sheet, sheet size: 14 1/8 10 in. (trimmed, toning, mounted along top edge, minor creases, small repairs and tears along edges, minor creases); and a male figure with patterned robes and weapons, with pencil inscription on mat 'circa: 1820 (mounted)' and typed label 'Toyokuni III... P. Kagaya in 1855', sheet size: 13 1/2 in. x 9 1/2 in. (trimmed, toning, laid down and separating from backing, mounted along top edge, minor creases, small repairs and tears along edges, bug holes bottom right and upper left quadrants).

Overall good condition, all faded, toning and foxing to all mats, see description.
