7 Various Memoirs and Works, 18th and 19th Century, comprising Wilson, Charles MEMOIRS OF THE LIFE, WRITINGS, AND AMOURS OF WILLIAM CONGREVE (London, 1730), rebacked, 8vo, frontispiece portrait, armorial bookplate (cloth tape on inner upper cover, some splitting to joints, minor foxing); Temple, William MISCELLANIES IN FOUR ESSAYS (Glasgow, 1761), owner signature on title page (wear to spine); THE EXPEDITION OF HUMPHREY CLINKER (London, 1771), 2nd edition, 3 vols., Princeton University Library bookplate (vol. 1 replaced cloth spine, vols. 2 and 3 both covers detached); MEMOIRS OF THE LIFE OF SIR STEPHEN FOX (London, 1717), later binding (slight splitting to joints); Skinner, Thomas THE LIFE OF GENERAL MONK: DUKE OF ALBEMARLE (London, 1724) 2nd edition, recent cloth; Evelyn, John THE LIFE OF MRS. GODOLPHIN (London, William Pickering, 1847), half-calf, frontispiece portrait (spine lightly worn); and Russell, Lord John THE LIFE OF WILLIAM LORD RUSSELL (London, 1820), 2 vols., bookplates, engraved portrait (some toning, splitting to joints, vol. 2 upper board detached).
