JFK and Nixon Signed Letters and Memorabilia Pertaining to Walter D. Hogle, Bosun US Navy, comprising a letter from John F Kennedy on White House stationary dated 16 April 1962 to Chief Boatswain Hogle stating 'I am grateful for your acceptance of me into the inner circle of mariners known as Boatswain's Mates. Please convey to all men of the First and Second Divisions of the NORTHAMPTON my appreciation for the Boatswain's pipe and certificate which you presented to me on my departure. It will be retained among the souvenirs of my office. Thank you for your thoughtfulness. with every good wish, Sincerely, John Kennedy' and accompanying vintage photographs and Northampton 1962-63 yearbook documenting the presentation and an original certificate from the event and a photograph of an inscribed photograph of JFK to Chief Bosun W.D. Hogle. Together with a signed letter from Richard Nixon to W.D. Hogle dated May 29, 1973 thanking him for his words of encouragement "While the Administration has faced major tests in recent months, my inherent faith in the American system assures me that we will not be deterred from working toward the great goals which the American people elected us t achieve. Your message of support confirms my belief that we can indeed meet the challenge of the next four years..." with accompanying envelope and a certificate from Ronald Reagan honoring Walter D. Holes service to his country.
