Circle of Pieter Coecke van Aelst (Flemish, 1502-1550) Virgin and Child, Oil on Panel, 16th C, unsigned, depicting seated Virgin with child in arms, with cherries and an orange in the foreground and a village in the background, within a period giltwood frame with Latin inscription which translates as: "O Glorious Lady, high above the stars, you nourished with your sacred breast, him who created you = provide me." Frame size: 31 in. x 24 1/2 in.
