Large Demessieur Silver Flatware Set in a Fitted Box, 155 Pieces, comprising 23 lunch forks, 22 dinner forks, 22 lunch knives, 3 salt shovels, 15 dinner spoons, 24 tablespoons, 1 ladle, 1 master butter knife, 20 teaspoons, 22 dinner knives, 2 knives with different blades. With "EM" monogram 211.79 troy ounces of weighable silver.
Provenance: "EM" is marked for Emma von Mendelssohn, who is a descendent of Felix and Fanny Mendelssohn, the great composers and thereby also a descendent of Moses Mendelssohn, the Enlightenment philosopher and author.
