Garnett and Eleanor J.Ashby, Jacksonville, FL Group of 13 Small Wedgwood Jasperware and Basalt Plaques in a Brass and Glass Display Box, each with an impressed 'Wedgwood' mark on the back, comprising a 1 1/8 in. oval plaque of a woman holding an amphora, two 5/8 in. oval plaques, each depicting standing female figures holding a lyre (glue residue on back), a 1 1/8 in. circular plaque depicting a seated robed man, with an incised '30' on the back (chip to back and frit to rim), a 3/4 in. rectangular plaque with basalt black ground, decorated with a fire grate and a bee, impressed '80' on the back, a 2 1/8 in. oval plaque depicting a seated courting couple, a 2 1/4 in. circular plaque depicting a classical couple holding hands (two chips and tiny frits to edges visible from side and back, two small firing blemishes to blue background), a 1 3/4 in. circular plaque depicting an older couple, the male figure with a walking stick (chips to back edge), a 1 1/8 in. circular plaque depicting a robed woman, with incised '337' on rear (chip to back edge), two 1 7/8 in. portrait plaques of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip, both marked 'Made in England', two 2 1/4 in. vertical rectangular plaques, one depicting a standing robed female figure with urn at her feet (broken and repaired, probably repainted, chip to edge) and the other depicting a standing female figure with urn on pedestal (chips to back edge). Together with a glass sided display box (silk deteriorated, oxidization to metal). Varying in size from: 2 3/8 in. to 5/8 in.
