Property from a Philadelphia Private Collection Group of Approx. 13 Snuff Boxes and Silver and Enamel Compact, 18th Century and Later, comprising a repousse silver hinged box depicting men in a tavern on front, marked on the underside of base '800' and another worn mark, a red and black box with filigree inlay, a round wood box with woman holding flowers (small losses to paint and edges), a hinged rectangular box with portrait of a woman (wear to decoration, some loss to liner, small losses to edges), a round wood box painted with bird in nest and gold accents (craquelure), a round box with stars, decorative scroll and central floral metal inlay (faint hairline cracks visible on underside of base), a round box with star-form metal inlay on top (minor craquelure, small losses to surface on the underside of base), a round ivory box with painted woman and dog in landscape (some loss and wear to paint, small losses to interior), two shoe-form hinged boxes, a round wood box with portrait of a woman (craquelure, loose and cracked side of lid, wear to surface), a bellows-form box and box marked 'CU' on underside of hinged lid. Together with a sterling silver and enamel compact with central bird medallion opening to reveal a mirror and powder compartment, marked on the interior 'KA 63 Made in Austria Sterling 935' (mirror with wear).
