Property from a Philadelphia Private Collection Chinese Export Charger and Pair of Plates, 18th Century, made for the French market, all decorated with fruit, flowers and foliage, comprising a charger with central crest depicting a man with a bow and dragon, the banner below with motto 'Utilis Orbi' (small area of inpainting to blue flower near rim), a plate with a central crest depicting a frame, the banner below motto 'Nemini Parcet' (hairline from edge of rim, two chips and small frits to outer edge of rim, some inpainting) and a plate with a central crest depicting a cow and winged putti, the banner below with motto 'Pedetentim' (two hairline cracks from rim, two small frits to rim).
