Description:
Four Silhouettes, Including George and Martha Washington, including eglomise silhouettes of George and Martha Washington, c. 1920, both in giltwood frames with textured white backgrounds (overall size: 5 1/8 in. x 4 1/2 in.), a two cut paper silhouette of a young girls, c. 18th/19th Century, both in mahogany frames with original gallery information on versos, the smaller one depicting a profile facing right with long hair filled in with ink, pencil marked 'Salopettes, 1790' on verso (frame size: 6 1/2 in. x 5 in.), the larger silhouette depicting a profile viewed from hips up facing left with gold paint details, with pencil inscription 'Georgian pre 1830' on verso (frame size: 8 in. x 6 1/2 in.)Measurements: Height: of largest frame 8 in. x Width: 6 1/2 in.
Condition:
Overall good condition, paper silhouettes with some foxing, toning, and minor discoloration, Washington silhouettes with some variations in textured white background, and wear to frames on all.
