Description:

4 Russian Painted Lacquer Boxes, comprising a square box signed, inscribed, and dated 1990 in Russian along bottom edge of lid and inscribed 'Made in USSR' on bottom, the lid painted with a elaborately dressed prince on horseback with the face of a man in the clouds above him, together with typed label 'Title: Prince Elisey - Princess & 7 Bogatyrs, Village: Palekh, Artist: Kochapalov, Year: USSR 1990' and original box (4 5/8 in. x 4 5/8 in. x 1 1/4 in.); a rectangular box signed and inscribed on interior of lid, the lid painted with a Russian cityscape with gilt accents (3 in. x 5 7/8 in. x 1 1/4 in.); a oval box signed, inscribed, and dated 1998 in Russian along bottom edge of lid, the lid painted with a forest scene with figure and gnomes harvesting mushrooms, together with typed label 'Mstera, Mushroom Hunter. by D. Molodkinn, 7528/13250' and original box (3 3/4 in. x 5 3/8 in. x 1 5/8 in.); and a small oval brown lacquer box signed and inscribed in Russian along bottom edge of lid, and marked 'Fedoskino Pegockuho' on interior, the lid decorated with a Russian castle against a mother-of-pearl sky, together with hand written label 'The Great Rostov, Artist Otraskin, Village Fedoskino' (1 3/4 in. x 3 1/2 in. x 1 in.).

Measurements: Height: of largest 4 5/8 in. x Width: 4 5/8 in. x Depth: 1 1/4 in.

Condition:

Overall good condition, very minor general wear and scratches to surface of lacquer.
