Description:

4 Asian Boxes, comprising a 12 1/2 in. x 11 1/2 in. x 4 in. rectangular black lacquer box decorated with birds and flowering branches with mother-of-pearl inlay on lid and pink velvet interior (lid loose from hinges, in need of reattaching, some losses to mother-of-pearl, craquelure, minor staining in interior, wear and chips to edges, lacking key); a 3 1/4 in. x 7 in. round brown lacquer box with carved hardstone and mother-of-pearl inlay depicting figures and a tree (losses to stone inlay, chips and losses to edges, scratches); a 3 1/2 in. x 8 in. x 7 in. lacquer and gilt tea caddy opening to two lidded metal compartments, together with key (some separation at corners, wear and chips to edges, wear and rubbing to gilt decoration, minor dents to metal compartments, losses to back corners, age crack back of left side, losses to lacquered on bottom); and a 2 1/4 in. x 10 3/4 in. x 9 1/8 in black lacquer box with painted and gilt lid opening to three divided compartments (craquelure, minor rubbing to gilt, wear and small chips to edges, right hinge detached from lid, with associated loss to lid where once was, chip and crack to inner rim of lid).

Measurements: Height: of largest 2 1/4 in. x Width: 10 3/4 in. x Depth: 9 1/8 in.

Condition:

Fair condition, all with old marks and scratches and wear to edges. See description for details.
