Property of a Former U.S. Air Force Military Attache to the American Embassy, Cairo, Egypt Group of Civil War Articles Including Currency, Documents and Prints, comprising four 50 dollar Confederate bills from the State of Georgia, all marked February 2nd, 1863 (good condition, some yellowing and minor foxing), approximately 46 miscellaneous documents and papers including muster rolls, deeds, soldiers declarations for Arrears of Pay and Bounty, Power of Attorney letter, letters to the Paymaster's General Office, etc. (with crease marks, some stains and foxing, small tears and losses), together with four framed lithographs, three after H.A. Ogden and one after Steeple Davis (with some foxing, some waviness, small chips to gilt on frame and surface grime to glass) and a shadowbox of 2 Confederate bills and a five cent certificate for deposit for the Augusta Saving Bank dated Dec. 2nd, 1861 (with stains, crease marks and foxing), one 3 dollar Confederate bill from the City of Charleston, dated March 1862 (stained and very worn), one 500 dollar Confederate bill from the City of Richmond Feb. 16th, 1864 (with crease marks, several tears and loss). Together with an East African and Middle Eastern coin.
