Property of a Former U.S. Air Force Military Attache to the American Embassy, Cairo, Egypt Persian Steel Dhal, 4 Armor Panels and a Pair of European Mitten Gauntlets, 19th Century, comprising a dhal applied centrally with bosses, with scrolling decoration and further decorated with people on horseback (wear to gilt surface, old marks and scratches, back with pitting and rust), 4 Persian panels (some rust, oxidization, wear to surface decoration, lifting and deterioration to some edges) and a pair of etched mitten gauntlets, probably German or Italian, in the style of the 16th century, 19th century, the wide cuffs hinged at the wrist, articulated metacarpus of 6 plates, the main edges turned and roped (2 rivets on top scalloped edges missing, 2 gilt metal circular mounts missing, some pitting and rust, some losses to gilt surface, one with dent, some scratches and wear to decoration).
