Description:

3 Russian Painted Lacquer Boxes and Another Russian Style Box , comprising a shield-form box signed, inscribed, and dated 2006 in Russian along bottom edge of lid and with gold mark on underside, the lid painted with a noble couple surrounded by figures in armor in swirling waves, with boat and castle in the background, with certificate from original purchase in Palekh Russia (6 in. x 5 in. x 1 3/8 in.); a rectangular box signed, inscribed, and dated 2005 in Russian along bottom edge of lid, the lid painted with the story of sleeping beauty, with the princess laying next to a spindle in the castle tower, figures sleeping on the steps of the castle and the prince arriving in the bottom left (8 in. x 6 in. x 1 in.); a small rectangular box signed and inscribed in Russian along lower edge of lid, the lid painted with a fairytale scene depicting a kneeling prince in front of a glowing white swan with crown and halo (3 in. x 4 in. x 1 1/2 in.); and an unsigned clam-form box, the lid painted with a snow scene with trees, cabin, and church with mother-of-pearl detail (4 in. x 4 1/2 in. x 1 1/4 in.)

Measurements: Height: of largest 8 in. x Width: 6 in. x Depth: 1 in.

Condition:

Overall good condition, minor general wear and scratches to lacquered surfaces, unsigned box with small loss to Laquerre near bottom edge of lid.
