3 Portrait Miniatures of Women and Another, Late 19th Century, watercolor on ivory, all unsigned, comprising an oval portrait of a woman in profile in a gilt-metal frame (3 1/8 in. x 2 1/2 in.), an oval portrait of young woman in white blouse in a wood frame (by sight 2 5/8 in. x 1 3/4 in.), an oval portrait of a woman in white blouse and blue hair bow in a metal standing frame with Skinner lot tag, sale 2485 lot 851 (4 in. x 2 7/8 in.). Together with a hand colored oval photograph (?) of a woman in cream blouse in a metal frame (2 3/4 in. x 1 3/4 in.).

INTERSTATE SALE
This item meets the criteria to be an ESA (Endangered Species Act) Antique:
A. It is 100 years old or older;
B. It is composed in part or whole of any endangered species or threatened species listed under section 1533 of the Act;
C. It has not been repaired or modified with any part of any such species on or after December 28, 1973; and
*D. It entered at a port designated for the import of ESA antiques
*Under Director’s Order No. 210, as a matter of enforcement discretion, items imported prior to September 22, 1982, and items created in the United States and never imported must comply with elements A, B, and C above, but not element D.
This lot is has documentation that meets federal requirements for an interstate sale including; either a CITES pre-Convention certificate, a dateable photograph, a dated letter, or other documentation referring to the item or other evidence.
Guidance provided by the FWS located in appendix 1 of the Director’s Order 210 establishes the criteria for the antiques exemption for the prohibitions of the ESA, the criteria used for this lot meets the requirements of proof listed in Director’s Order 210, appendix 1, sections 5, 6, and 7.

Overall good condition, none viewed out of frame, with wear to frames and some collectors stickers, some small losses to photograph and lacking glass cover to frame.
