Description:

3 Magazines Relating to Colonial Georgia Military Action, comprising 'The Gentleman's Magazine, December 1742', page 661 containing Samuel Cloake's account of the Spaniards invasion of Georgia (M.U.D.C. Public Library stamp on one page); 'Supplement for the Year 1779', page 633-635 containing excerpts from letters and Major General Provost's Journal of the Siege of Savannah, November 1779; and 'The Political Magazine and Parliamentary Naval, Military and Literary Journal', c. 1780, London, page 3-5 details 'Opinions alleged by the Americans, and the different parties in England, as to the cause of the War', with references to rebel attacks on Tybee Island, GA in 1776, and page 47 - 54 details the 'French and Rebel Attack and Repulse at Savannah'.

Measurements: Height: of largest 8 3/4 in. x Width: 5 1/2 in.

Condition:

Overall good condition, all with general toning and scattered foxing to pages, wear to edges and corners, 'The Political Magazine' with later binding tape along spine, some tears and losses to edges of paper, not complete, the 'Supplement' with later binding tape along spine, and some old bug damage on last page near spine, and 'The Gentleman's Magazine, with old binding glue along spine, and some darker toning on last few pages, not complete.
