Two English Mahogany Brass Bound Writing Boxes, 19th C, one rosewood box opening to a gilt-tooled leather writing surface, with hidden drawers below, pen rest, and mounted at the sides with inset brass carrying handles (good condition, some old marks and scratches, some old patches to veneer, minor cracks, some sunfading, brass slightly lifted on two corners, losses to leather, other repairs, does not sit fully flush, no key), the other a mahogany box lacking the interior, now paper lined (hinges replaced, old marks and scratches, some patches to veneer, brass bands slightly lifting, age cracks to top).Measurements: Height: of larger 6 3/4 in. x Width: 20 in. x Depth: 10 in.
